Description : This tutorial covers how to add angle parameters. In this case we put them in a curtain panel to break from such an orthogonal grid. Here are they a tilted mullions but one could imagine using a curtain system just and a construction grid then using face based families for more complex systems on top of the grid.

The hexagon and angled curtain panels doesn’t seem to work on cone shaped masses or any shapes that is slated and curved at the same time. Any workarounds for this problem?

    Hello Dave,

    thanks for this tutorial !
I am starting to deal with the Curtain Panels,
I also followed the previous tutorial.

What it’s not clear to me is how do you
set up the grid for the insertion of the family in the project.

It seems to me it was kind of pre-formatted or maybe
    automatically adjusted ?

If you could clarify that, that would be great!
    thanks again,

    Stefano

It seems to me that you are getting rid of the basic separation between grid, profiles and curtain panels, (let’s say the “default approach” to that function)

and trying to use the grid as a generic reference system for your building components, modeled entirely in the panels family. This is a question you mention also in the following tutorial on nested families.

In my attempt to use your procedure, something is not working: the profiles are not overlapping exactly and I get spaces between the profiles on the facade.

I am sure this is due to my not yet perfect knowledge of facade systems in revit..

Maybe I can post in the Forum some images if you need.

Sure. This is usually due to the constraints being a bit off in the curtain panel family. I’ll take a look at it.
