I tried to make something like your brick panel using this method and, then, face extrude, but it wasnt work… I did what i wanted using shell modifier, but why face extrude works or dosnt in different cases?

If for example one would want these planes to become a stair for example to be an entrance to a building, is there a way to make the vertical part of the steps, and keep it parametric with the FFD?
Or would you just convert the planes into boxes and cut off the exess material or something?

@Remco - yes, i test it right now. Make your array of boxes and group them as in the video. Apply EditPoly modifier and in Element mod select all (Ctrl+A). :ake them Planar by Z (as in the video). Now all boxes has zero height. Apply PolySelect to clear the selection. Add new EditPoly end select top faces on your boxes. Finaly Extrude them.
