So, I signed up for twitter (pretty cool so far). Figure I can post more regularly when I attend events like I am now (Flux and SG. Both great so far.)
Dear David,
i’m Giuseppe from italy and i’m yet addicted to your web site.
I’m a student of Architecture, my fifth year and i’ve thoughts about the thing that you show or explain on your web site. I mean, i’m in trouble with my work tools.
i’m a user of Archicad and Vectoworks on a mac but i feel that i’n not going to have satisfactions with these tools, following the workflow i’d like to join. They are useful and powerful for things we are called to do but, i don’t know. The question is: why 3ds max? do i need? i’d like to know how to perform better my private studio about “space” and architecture, but is it worth? Why do you teach how to manage it? In the everyday job anyone is going to ask for a Autocad and stop, if you want to design buildings. These work tools are such personal as the personal idea of architecture. You should need to feel confort using them. I’d love to switch to Revit but there’s a but: in my country is less used than the japanese sticks for spaghetti. Would you tell me your opinion? Should i attend a Autodesk 3ds max design 2010 course to ride the giant? Please tell me your ideas about softwares you choose and about their utility in the job, under the sight of a teacher and of your students.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Sincerely
Giuseppe N.
