I’m working on a project that has a large number of long trusses that are all unique. I have curves that represent the flanges of the trusses and want to connect them using a standard V web [where a point on one truss is .5 distance in between two points on the other]. I divided each truss into points by distance, but how do you tell the connecting lines, representing the web, to skip every other point on both truss curves?

Using Shift, I’m able to achieve an X web pattern, but I want to eliminate one set of lines and form a V. If this isn’t clear, then let me know and I can provide screens or further explanation.

Thanks and keep up the helpful expository!

    hej david,

thanks that was very helpful! Specially the expression part!

I though wonder how you would try to get a list with every second point.

    Hi.
    Thank you for the video!
I’ve a question about the lists.
I have a series of points and I would like to take only one point every two point. What kind of list should I use?

    Hey David,
I am listing the length of various elements and the output expression comes in decimal inches, is there a way to transform the list unit form decimal inches to fractional inches ? (Line(2.5356)in vs Line(2 1/2 in)?
    Thank you
