Software : CATIA / Digital Project

Description : In this CATIA / Digital Project video we will use Wireframe and Sketch tools to create a frame element that will later be used as the basis of a PowerCopy. We will go through basic functionality within the Sketcher workbench, including geometric and dimensional constraints. We will create driving parameters and discuss relations. Finally, we will use wireframe geometry to create a swept surface that will represent our frame element. This is the second video of a three part series.

Topics Covered:

  • Geometry for PowerCopies
  • Basic Wireframe Modeling (Intersect, Lines, Planes)
  • Sketcher Workbench
  • Adding Geometric and Dimensional Constraints
  • Construction Elements
  • Parameters and Relations
  • Basic Swept Surfaces
