Description : In this CATIA / Digital Project video we will create a PowerCopy definition from the frame element created in the previous exercise. We will go through the PowerCopy definition interface and point out important features. We will describe some best practices that improve the process of defining and instantiating PowerCopies. Finally, we will modify our base geometry and parameters in order to test the associativity of the system. This is the third and final video of this series.

Topics Covered:

  • Defining PowerCopies (Inputs, Outputs, Parameters, Relations)
  • PowerCopy Tips & Best Practices
  • Instantiating PowerCopies
  • Changing Geometry and Reference Elements

Hey! Thanks for sharing. I have a question, though. Is there a way to customize the tree structure, so , say when you repeat instantiation of the powercopy it would place new Geom.Set in the one that the previous was instantiated? i.e. so one Geometrical Set stays active regardless of the others being created?
    Thanks
