    @Jeffrey
    We haven’t posted any Maya tutorials that cover the subjects that you presented, but we can definitely make one and post it soon.

    In the meantime, import polylines or splines from CAD programs as IGES files, 3-D geometry as an OBJ, and adjust your unit settings in the preferences menu.

    If you have any other questions or suggestions, please continue to post them.

    I am having trouble exporting from Rhino to Maya. I have tried both .iges and .obj and they both dont show up in the viewport. Any suggestions? All I have in my rhino model are polysurfaces and surfaces, and a few curves. Thanks for the help.

    Kendall !!!! It’s you !!!! Haha … I had just downloaded Autodesk Maya 2010 for my Mac partition. It actually comes with “Essential Skills Movies” that demonstrate basic commands and controls…they’re helpful, but this was a great tutorial. I guess beginner tips and instructions just seemed more clear/concise/easy to follow coming from a peer/fellow archie. I’m definitely going to follow the rest of the tutorials. And as for suggestions about tutorials…I’m curious as to how you would model complex geometries in Maya (such as the minimal surfaces we worked with in the urban farm studio–sorry to bring back potentially painful memories haha). Anyway, thanks so much !! I’ll see you later !!

    Sorry I’m late. :) Great tut vids. I was wondering when you were going to make more for Maya 2009. Also, I noticed in your main window Z was up instead of Y as mine is. How’d you do that?
