Software: Autodesk Revit 2010
Description:In this Revit Architecture 2010 video, we show how to pass through view-specific elements from a linked into a host file. We take the 2d extents of grid lines, wall, window and door tags, as well as dimension strings in a linked file and make them visible in a host file by changing the display settings of a particular view.

Hi Guys,
I know that may not appropriate to ask here again but is there anyone here who knows how to convert spline to a wall or a rail. Please let me know because I do not know how to.
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
Do anyone know a way giving a grid line bubble with text different (print-)sizes dependent of view scale?
Typically, a grid line bubble with text would be given a quite big size in 1:50 to stand out from other text. This would normally also give readable text in 1:100/1:200 without scaling the grid line bubble. In Revit however, the grid line bubble becomes enormous when changing the scale up. The other way around, making a grid line bubble in a good size for 1:200, will result in a very small grid line bubble in 1:50.
I thought a way could be to edit the grid line bubble in the family editor and make a formula which set the sizes for the bubble and the text dependent of view scale.. or maybe a project parameter assigned to a view. However, I couldn’t, in lack of programming qualifications or maybe it’s just not possible..?
Anyone… ?
